The Organ Transplant Center Decision Guide is a website designed to guide transplant candidates to find centers that transplant patients like them. Users are able to view personalized search results that really matter to them. They are then able to use this website as a decision guide when making the important decision regarding transplant centers. The application also uses a geolocation service in the back end that allows users to view transplant centers by distance.
Using data from the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients, the application includes a custom CMS back end that allows administrators to manage the import and export of application data. Like most of the applications we build, we created this application to be able to stand on it’s own and let the client manage the data long after we moved it to production. When the data needs a refresh, there is no developer or tech person that needs to get involved, the platform can handle all of the necessary data processing with a few simple clicks of a button.
